Primitives

  • Slab
  • (3D only) Used to place an extruded solid with a rectangular cross-section.
  • Cylinder
  • (3D only) Used to place a solid cylinder.
  • Sphere
  • (3D only) Used to place a spherical solid — a solid of revolution with a circular cross section.
  • Ellipsoid
  • (3D only) Used to place an ellipsoid, a solid defined by three radii.
  • Cone
  • (3D only) Used to place a solid cone.
  • Elliptical Cone
  • (3D only) Used to place an elliptical cone solid, which is a transition solid between two ellipses.
  • Torus
  • (3D only) Used to place a torus (a donut-shaped surface or solid).
  • Linear Solid
  • Used to create a wall like solid (rectangular section) by defining its alignment.

Create Solids

  • Extrude
  • (3D only) Used to create a solid generated by linearly extruding a profile element (text, shape, or complex shape, B-spline surface, face of a surface or solid element) a defined distance.
  • a tubular solid extrusion along a path.
  • a solid by extruding a profile element along a path. Profile elements can be a closed element such as a shape, complex shape, B-spline surface, or a selected face of solid or surface element.
  • Thicken
  • (3D only) Used to add thickness to an existing surface to create a solid.
  • Revolve
  • Used to create a solid of revolution — a complex 3D element that is generated by rotating a profile element (ellipse, shape, complex chain, complex shape, or closed B-spline curve) about an axis of revolution.

Features

  • Cut
  • Used to cut solids using a profile. It requires at least one 2D profile and a solid to operate.
  • Fillet
  • (3D only) Used to fillet, or round, one or more edges of a solid, projected surface, or a surface of revolution.
  • Chamfer
  • (3D only) Used to chamfer one or more edges of a solid, projected surface, or a surface of revolution.
  • Hole
  • Constructs a simple, counterbore, or countersunk hole in a feature-based solid.
  • Protrude
  • Used to construct a protrusion on a parametric solid using a closed profile element (shape, complex shape, circle, or ellipse) in the design, as the protrusion profile.
  • Shell
  • (3D only) Used to create a hollowed out solid having faces of a defined thickness.
  • Sweep Edge
  • Used to place a cut or protrusion along a path defined by edges of a parametric solid using a profile.
  • Imprint
  • Used to create edge on a solid by drawing a line, line string, block, circle, shape, imprinting a curve, or by creating an offset copy of an existing edge.
  • Taper Face
  • Used to taper one or more faces on a solid.
  • Spin Face
  • Used to spin, or rotate, one or more faces of a solid about an axis.

Modify Features

  • Edit Feature
  • Used to edit the parameters of a selected parametric element or feature.
  • Modify Solid
  • Used to manipulate faces, edges or vertices of a solid by pushing or pulling them interactively.
  • Trim Solid
  • Used to trim a solid to its intersection with another solid.
  • Unite
  • (3D only) Used to unite two or more overlapping solids.
  • Subtract
  • (3D only) Used to subtract the volume of one or more overlapping solids from another solid.
  • Intersect
  • (3D only) Used to construct a solid that is the intersection of two or more overlapping solids.
  • Delete Piece
  • Used to remove disjoint pieces of a parametric solid such as created from a subtract operation.
  • Delete Face
  • Used to remove faces from parametric solids.
  • Show Input Feature
  • Used to show the input element of an applied feature on a parametric element.
  • Hide Input Feature
  • Used to hide the input element of an applied feature on a parametric element.
  • Replace Solid or Profile
  • Used to replace an input profile of a feature, applied on a parametric, with another existing profile in the drawing.
  • Disable Feature
  • Used to disable the effect of a feature from a parametric element. The feature is not deleted, only disabled.
  • Remove Last Feature
  • Used to remove the feature at the top position (undo the last feature) in the feature tree of a parametric solid.

Solid Utilities

  • a closed surface to a solid or a SmartSolid.
  • an existing solid to a SmartSolid.
  • a SmartSolid to a Parametric solid.
  • Remove Entity by Size
  • Used to simplify parametric solids by removing unwanted details based on predetermined sizes.
