Thicken Surface

Used to add thickness to an existing surface to create a parametric solid.

You can access this tool from the following:

Setting	Description
Direction	Defines the direction of thickening applied to the existing surface. Forward - Thickening is applied in the direction of the surface normals. Backward - Thickening is applied in the opposite direction to the surface normals. Both - Thickening is applied in both directions from the existing surface.
Thickness	Defines the depth of the thickening, normal to the surface.
Variable Link	Let's you use an existing variable to set the input value, defined in the Variables dialog. Note: If no variables exist, you will be alerted to create one first.
