P. Dynamic - Layouts
Includes results for various dynamic analyses, including modes, time history graphs, and floor spectrum analysis.
Layout | Purpose |
---|---|
Mode Shape | Opens the Frequencies & Mass Participations and Mode Shapes tables as well as activates the Mode Shape tool, which displays the currently selected mode shape diagram on the structure in the view window. |
Displacement | Opens three Time History Displacement graphs: one each for displacement along the global X, Y, and Z directions. Selecting a node in the view window will display the displacement vs. time for that node. |
Velocity | Opens three Time History Velocity graphs: one each for velocity along the global X, Y, and Z directions. Selecting a node in the view window will display the velocity vs. time for that node. |
Acceleration | Opens three Time History Acceleration graphs: one each for acceleration along the global X, Y, and Z directions. Selecting a node in the view window will display the acceleration vs. time for that node. |
Floor Spectrum | Used to review the results of a generated floor spectrum for a time history
analysis. The data points can also be exported to a text file for use with a third
party application. When the Floor Spectrum page is selected, the Response Spectrum graph and Response Spectrum table open. To change graphs to that of another selection of node groups or damping ratio, select the required set from the drop list in the Response Spectrum Table. Tip: The graph is initially set to display the results on a log/log
graph. This can be changed to a linear graph by right-clicking on the graph and
then selecting Linear Graph from the pop-up menu.
Additionally, the calculated points on the graph can be added by again right-clicking on the graph and then selecting Show Points from the pop-up menu. |
