To assign a set of custom releases to a supported
node, use the following procedure.

Select the nodes that will have the same support condition.

On the
Specifications ribbon tab, select the
Custom tool in the
Supports group.
The
Create Supports dialog opens to the
Fixed But tab.

In the
Releases group, check the degrees of freedom
to be released for this support type.
Note: If a spring
constant is specified in a direction, then the corresponding degree of freedom
cannot be released. A given support type can have a mix of releases and
springs, but only in different degrees of freedom.
