To Place Wall Pipe

Note: It is suggested that the user should be proficient with the AccuDraw tool when routing pipe in OpenPlant Modeler .
  1. Open the Standard Preferences dialog and set the pipeline, specification and component values. The Wall Pipe records shipped with OpenPlant Modeler are stored in the EX-OPM spec.
  2. Select the Wall Pipe option from the Piping gallery.
  3. When the Spec Record Selection dialog displays, choose a record from the list and click OK.
  4. Pick the Placement Point (MAIN_PORT OR RUN_PORT) for the pipe in the Place Component dialog.
    Note: The AutoFitting mode is not available when placing Wall Pipe.
  5. In the Operating Conditions tab, enter a value for the Distance to Thrust Collar field.
  6. Define additional property values for the component as necessary using the fields available.
  7. Pick a point in the drawing, or snap to an open end of an existing component. An outline of the component displays.
  8. Pick another point in the drawing to determine the length of the pipe section.
    Note: You can also enter the length value directly in the AccuDraw window if desired.
  9. Right-click to end the procedure or continue picking points in the drawing to route additional pipe segments.
    Note: If the AutoFitting option was enabled, then either a pipe bend or an elbow will automatically be placed at any bend in the line you are routing.
  10. Right-click to end the current placement procedure.
    Note: By default, the command remains active until you select another command option.
