Components of Grid Systems Manager

The Grid Systems Manager is the entry point for additional Grid Systems tools and interfaces. These secondary interfaces together with the Grid Systems dialog comprise the grid creation aspects of the Grid Systems functionality. Typical components include grid system settings, grid system orientation, XML import/export, and sketch grids interface.

  1. Sketch Grids are grid systems that you draw yourself using graphical elements including lines, multiple segment lines, arcs, curves, and b-splines. Sketch Grids allow you to create complex Grid Systems.
  2. Grid System Orientation - Selecting Modify > Grid Orientation opens a special working view and the Grid System Orientation toolbar.
  3. Multi Building support allows you to associate grid systems to any building you define.
  4. The Grid System Settings dialog defines default settings for how the Grid Systems are presented, labeled and dimensioned.
  5. The Import/Export tools allow you to exchange Grid Systems definitions through XML.
  6. Tabular display filters help you customize the Grid Systems display.
  7. Min/Max Extents controls allow you to trim orthogonal and radial grid lines/arcs of one axis (A, B, C...) relative to another axis (1,2,3...).
