Reference Version Manager Dialog

Used to select which version of the attached reference document the selected master document will use.

This dialog opens when you select a master document and then select Document > Set > Manage Reference Versions. This dialog also opens if the datasource setting, Versions - Prompt user to update master document’s reference versions on open is on, and you open a master document that has non-active versions of reference documents attached.

Master Document

  • Name — Displays the name of the selected master document.

  • File name — Displays the file name of the selected master document.

Reference Documents list Lists the documents that are attached to the selected master document. The dialog has its own default view, which displays the (Document) Name, File Name, Sequence, and Version properties for the attached documents. You can change the dialog’s default view by right-clicking any of the column headers and selecting from the options Choose Columns (to modify the current view, or create a new view), Manage Views (to modify existing views or create new views), Sort (to change the order in which documents are listed), or Select View (to change the view currently applied to the dialog).
  • Name — Displays the name of the version that is currently attached to the master document.
  • File Name — Displays the file name of the version that is currently attached to the master document.
  • Version — Displays the label of the version that is currently attached to the master document.
  • Sequence — Displays the sequence number of the version that is currently attached to the master document.
Switch to Active Version Updates the master document to use the active version of the selected reference document(s).
Select Version Opens the Select Document Version dialog, which is used to select another version of the reference document to attach and lock to the master document.
Reset Discards pending version changes for the selected documents.
OK Applies the pending version changes for all documents in the list and closes the dialog.
Cancel Discards the pending version changes for all documents in the list and closes the dialog.
