To Create a Windows-based User Account

  1. Right-click the Users node and select New > User.

    The New User Properties dialog opens.

  2. On the General tab, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, enter the user name of a Windows user account.
    2. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description for the user.
    3. (Optional) In the E-mail field, enter the user's email address.

      The user's email address is required if you want that user to receive notification emails from the datasource; for example, whenever the state of a particular document is changed (see Setting Up Messaging Agents ).

    4. Set Type to Windows.
    5. In the Windows domain field, specify the domain to which the Windows user account belongs.
  3. Click OK.

    The user is added to the list of users.
