The Messaging Services datasource node is used to set up rules for having messages automatically generated and sent to designated users when certain document actions occur. These rules are defined in messaging agents. The generated message can be sent to users as a regular email message or as a ProjectWise message through ProjectWise Messenger.

You can create new messaging agents, or you can copy existing messaging agents from other datasources.

You can set up a messaging agent to trigger a message when one of the following user actions:

• Document check-in
• Document check-out
• Document export
• Document state change
• Document version change
• Update server copy
