Manually Creating User Accounts

You can create user accounts one at a time by right-clicking the Users node and selecting New > User.

This method of creating users is typically used to create logical user accounts, however you can also use it to manually create Windows-based and Bentley IMS-based accounts.

Tip: To automatically create Windows-based or Bentley IMS-based accounts in the datasource, you need to perform a synchronization with the user list.

Synchronization of Windows-based accounts is done using ProjectWise User Synchronization Service, which is an additional installation, although once installed it is configured through ProjectWise Administrator.
Synchronization of Bentley IMS-based accounts is done by specifying an identity provider and IMS service identity in the DMSKRNL.CFG file, and then right-clicking the Users node and selecting Synchronize Bentley IMS Users.
