To Copy or Move Messaging Agents from One Datasource to Another

  1. Log in to both datasources.
  2. In the source datasource, select one or more messaging agents under the Messaging Services node and select Copy or Cut (move), depending on which operation you want to perform.
  3. In the target datasource, right-click the Messaging Services node and select Paste.

    You can also copy messaging agents just by dragging them from one datasource to another. To move messaging agents, you also have to press the <Shift> key (and keep it pressed) as you drop the messaging agents into the Messaging Services node. The <Shift> key changes the copy into a move.

    The Copy Messaging Agents(s) or Move Messaging Agents(s) dialog opens.



  4. Select which items associated with the original messaging agent that you would like to copy over to the new messaging agent:
    • If you want the new messaging agent to have the same recipients as the original messaging agent, keep Recipients turned on.
    • If you want the new messaging agent to have the same other properties as the original messaging agent, turn on Other properties.
  5. Click OK.

    The selected messaging agents are copied or moved to the target datasource.
