To Place Spool Piece

A Spool Piece is a fixed length of pipe, which is placed with flanges usually used to connect two existing flanged pipe components ends. The placement procedure is as follows:

Set the size and spec in the Standard Preferences dialog before selecting the Spool Piece option. By default, the Spool Piece components are stored in the EX-OPM spec, which is shipped with OpenPlant Modeler .
Select the Spool Piece option from the Piping taskbar.
When the Spec Record Selection dialog displays, select one of the option from the list and click OK to continue.
In the Place Component dialog use the tabs to define the various settings for the component. Specifically the Length of the piece, which is defined in the Operating Conditions tab.
Select a placement point for the component. If connecting to an existing component, snap to the end of the component.
Left click to accept the point.
The Spec Record Selection dialog displays listing gasket option to place at the joint.
Select an option from the dialog and click OK.
When the Spec Record Selection dialog displays again, make a selection on the bolt type to use for the joint.
Click OK to complete the placement.
Right-click to end the command.
