Web Angle Connection

Used to create steel web angles in three types of shapes IPE, HEA and HEB. Two web angles will be fastened opposite of each other on the ends of the shape to be connected when a support shape is not selected.

Accessed from:
  • Ribbon: Steel > Home > Steel Connections > WebAngle > Web Angle

The shape to be connected is cut to length after the exact definition is entered. The connection, drilling and bolting is carried out automatically. You can also select web angle connections according to the standard DAST guidelines.

Dialog Controls

SettingDescription
OK Closes the dialog and save your changes.
Cancel Closes the dialog without saving changes.
Help Opens online help.
Template Saves and retrieve (Using Templates) settings to be used on other projects.
Clone Shifts focus to the geometry, allowing cloning the current structural object (stair, frame, truss, etc.) properties to match one or more objects selected in the view.
Favorites
  • Current Settings - Select when you haven't created any template and you want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
  • Bentley/Default - Select when you want to use the application default settings template and you don't want to use the current settings of the dialog instead.
Show /Hide Preview Opens or closes, respectively, a flyout panel to display an illustration based on the tool.
