Details on the installation process for STAAD.Pro on your computer.
Before You Start
- When installing or uninstalling this product, you must be logged on with Administrator rights.
- It is highly recommended that you close any programs and disable any antivirus software that is running prior to the installation of this software. Be sure to turn on your antivirus software when you are finished.
- If your system is protected by a firewall, make sure you enable the following URLs on the firewall:

- CONNECTION Client
- Structural Property Catalog (SPC) Server
- Structural Property Catalog
- RCDC
- STAAD Foundation Advanced
Note: is a recommended product, listed as a dependency on SELECT Fulfilment Center.
- Installing STAAD.Profrom CONNECTION Client
If a previous release of STAAD.Pro is already installed on your computer, you can incrementally download and install STAAD.Pro 2024 from CONNECTION Client. STAAD.Pro 2024 overwrites the previous STAAD.Pro release. - Considerations Before Installing

To use the installer to install STAAD.Pro on your computer, use the following procedure. - Log Files
When you install the application, its installation log is created. This log is saved inside C:\Users\User.Name\AppData\Local\Temp. The log file is named as <ProductName>_<YearMonthDate>*.zip. If the installation is executed multiple times, you can take the latest log. - Command-Line Installation

The version of STAAD.Pro you are installing adds user-writable files such as this configuration file to the user profile application data folder. Therefore, any settings changes you make will persist. The configuration file is now located at \Users\(user name)\AppData\Local\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD.Pro 2024\Default\ StaadPro24.00.00.ini.
