To Create Imports for OpenPlant iModels

You can import OpenPlant data from a CONNECT project into a PlantSight project.

Prerequisites:

  • In order to import an OpenPlant iModel, you must have iModel "Read" rights on the target model.
  • There is at least one iModel available in the Share.

Follow these steps to create an import for OpenPlant iModels.

  1. Open Data Acquisition.
  2. From the Acquisition panel , click Other Import. The import list appears.
  3. Click New Import ( ). The import wizard opens to the Select Source step.
  4. Select iModel Share.

  5. Select a project from the Select Project list.
  6. Select an iTwin from the Select iTwin list.
  7. Click Next. The wizard advances to the Mapping step. As OpenPlant doesn't require any mapping file, you can skip the mapping step for OpenPlant.
  8. Click Next. The interface opens to the Create Import step.
  9. Optionally enter an Import Name.
  10. Optionally define a schedule to keep the Digital Twin updated. In the Schedule section you define a schedule for re-starting the import automatically. If you don't want to re-start the import automatically, select Manually. For example,
  11. When you are finished, click Create. The import process begins.

The import is created. The import appears in the imports list in Draft state. You can start this import later.

If you have scheduled the import, your schedule plan is displayed in the Schedule row of the import overview. The import starts according to the schedule automatically. Scheduled imports can only start, if the previous import state is Draft or Completed.
