To assign superelevation

To assign superelevation section to a bridge deck, use the following procedure.

The bridge deck or segmental deck must have the superelevation flag on for the sloped points.

The bridge deck must be placed prior to assigning superelevation.

The superelevation section can be added as a reference or added to the OpenBridge Modeler file using the Import Superelevation tool on the Civil ribbon tab.

  1. Either:

    On the Home ribbon tab, select the Assign Superelevation tool in the Superstructure group

    or

    Key in bmgeom superelevation assign

  2. Data point on the superelevation section to use for the bridge deck.
  3. Data point on the bridge deck. The Seperelevation Assignment dialog opens.
  4. Click OK. The superelevation is applied to the selected bridge deck.
