Custom Size Pipes

Custom size pipes can be created and used during runtime.

OpenBridge Modeler uses two dedicated database files for custom pipes. Both files by default, are located in the \\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures CONNECT Edition\ProStructures\Default\appl\Shapes folder.

Custom_imperial.mdb — contains custom imperial pipe sizes
Custom_metric.mdb — contains custom metric pipe sizes

Note: The file name, table name, and file location cannot be changed.

In order to use the custom sizes from these files, the databases should be loaded in the Shape Catalog.

The shapes in the custom pipe database files can then be accessed from the Shape Class drop-down list as Round_Pipe_I_Custom and Round_Pipe_M_Custom for imperial and metric, respectively.

The shape databases are Microsoft^® Access^® database files (file extension .mdb).

Note: Pipe flange connection templates should be created prior to assigning to leg splices.
