New Display Rule Set

Click to create a new display rule set in the open DGN file.
The display rule set appears in the display rule set list box, where you can
give it a name.

Import Display Rule Set
|
Opens the File Open dialog, which lets you select a DGN or
DGNLib file to import the display rule sets. All the display rule sets in the
selected file are imported.

Delete selected Display Rule Set
|
Deletes the selected display rule set.
|
Show Display Styles dialog
|
Opens the Display Styles dialog.
|
New Display Rule
|
Click to create a new display rule for the selected display
rule set. The rule appears in the display rules list box, where you can modify
the rule.

Generate
|
Opens the
Generate Display Rules dialog in which you can
automatically generate display rules based on property values or ranges.
|
Cut
|
Cuts the selected display rule.
|
Copy
|
Copies the selected display rule.
|
Paste
|
Pastes the cut or copied display rule.
|
Move Up
|
Moves the selected display rule up and makes it a higher
priority.
|
Move Down
|
Moves the selected display rule down and makes it a lower
priority.

Display Rule Set list box
|
Lists the display rule sets.

tooltip
|
Move the pointer over a display rule
set name to see whether the display rule set is in a library or in the local
file. The tooltip also indicates if the rule set has been modified, and lists
the path for display rule set library file.

bold text
|
Display rule sets displayed with a
bold font are local display rule sets.
|
blue text
|
Display rule sets displayed in blue
have been modified from the last saved version.
|
|
An unfilled book icon identifies a
library display rule set.
|
|
A filled book icon identifies a local
display rule set.
|
To rename a display rule set, right-click on the
display rule set and select Rename.
|
Display Rules list box
|
Lists the display rules for the selected display rule
set.
For each display rule following columns are
displayed:
- Display Rule
Priority - Displays the order in which the display rules are processed. You can
change the priority moving the display rules by selecting the display rule and
clicking
Move Up
or
Move Down
.
- Enable or disable
display rule - Enables or disables the display rule. The display rule is
executed only if it is enabled.
- Condition -
Sets the condition that needs to be met for the action to be applied. Clicking
the cell in this column opens the
Condition Editor dialog in which you can add and modify the
condition.
- Action -
Sets the action that is applied when the given condition is met. Clicking
opens the pop-up menu in which
you can set different actions.
- Stop if True - Sets
the condition where the rule processing should be stopped. If a condition is
true and if the corresponding check box for the display rule is turned on,
further processing of display rules is stopped.
