To Set the DWG Workmode at User Level

  1. Open the Configuration Variables dialog ( File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables ).
  2. In the Search field, enter the configuration variable MS_WORKMODE.
  3. Click Edit.

    The Edit Configuration Variable dialog opens.

  4. In the New Value field, enter DWG.
  5. Click OK to close the Edit Configuration Variable dialog.

    The focus returns to the Configuration Variables dialog.

  6. From the File menu of the Configuration Variables dialog, choose Save.
  7. Click OK to close the Configuration Variables dialog. The Configuration Variable is saved to the user configuration file (Personal.ucf).
  8. Exit and restart MicroStation.
