Creating Designs
With Bentley OpenUtilities Designer, creating a complete design is a twofold process: defining the basic properties of the design (i.e., creating the design record) and then using the Design Assistant to construct the design through a sequence of steps (producing the design layout). For more information on these steps, see The Design Process and Bentley OpenUtilities Designer.
The New Design dialog box is used to create a new design and define its basic properties. Custom properties can be set up if additional information is required for designs.
For information about constructing a design, see Working with Work Locations.
