To add an analysis set

To add an analysis set to the current model, use the following procedure.

Note: Load combinations are only available for inclusion in the selected load conditions in analysis sets if the REPEAT Primary load cases option is selected for the Combination Load Cases option on the Analysis Model tab of the Options dialog. Otherwise, only load cases are available for selection.

An analysis set consists of an analysis specification as well as the load case list used with that analysis. A model can have multiple analysis sets consisting of different load

  1. On the Loading ribbon tab, select the Analysis Commands tool in the Loading group.

    The Analysis Commands dialog opens.
  2. In the Analysis Sets list, click +. A new Analysis item is added to the bottom of the list.
  3. (Optional) >Click the Edit tool to rename the Analysis set. Press <Enter> to save the new name.
  4. Click the (-) button to activate the analysis set for use. A model must have at least one active analysis set. Inactive analysis sets are ignored when generating the analysis model from the physical model.
  5. Select the appropriate analysis type and any analysis options for this analysis set.
  6. Select the Load Conditions tab. Load conditions are load cases and load combinations which are analyzed in the current analysis set.
  7. Select one or more load conditions in the left list and use the > tool to add them to the Selected load conditions list for inclusion.
    Tip: Use the filter search box and the category selections to filter the list down to quickly locate load conditions in large models.
  8. Click OK.
