Minimum Footing Dimensions
The footing dimensions are checked to ensure that the following minimums are satisfied.
For the ACI code (English and Metric),
- "a" has to be at least equal to "c" + 6 inches + 6 inches. Thus, "a" has to be at least "c" + 12 inches
- "b" has to be at least equal to "d" + 6 inches + 6 inches. Thus, "b" has to be at least "d" + 12 inches
For all other codes,
- "a" has to be at least equal to "c" + 150 mm + 150 mm. Thus, "a" has to be at least "c" + 300 mm
- "b" has to be at least equal to "d" + 150 mm + 150 mm. Thus, "b" has to be at least "d" + 300 mm
