Layout - Joists - Add On-Grid
Selecting the Layout - Joist - Add On-Grid command will cause the Add Joist On-Grid Mode dialog box to appear.
Click either Single or Fence.
| Setting | Description |

| Single: | Click the plus sign cursor on a SnapTo point defining one end of the joist. Move the cursor to the SnapTo point defining the second end of the joist and click the mouse button to place the Joist. |
| Fence: | Fence an area in which joists will be place between existing columns. |
Return to the Add Joist On-Grid Mode dialog box with the Right Mouse Button or the "D" key.
Return to the Layouts - Joist menu with the "M" key.
Clicking the Cancel button or selecting any other RAM Modeler Layout command will end the Layout - Joists - Add On-Grid command.
