Layout - Beams - Modify Stub Cantilever Slope

Selecting the Layout - Beams - Modify Stub Cantilever Slope command will cause the Modify Stub Cantilever Slope dialog box to appear. This dialog allows the slope of stub cantilevers to be set. By default, stub cantilevers have no slope. There are two ways to set the slope of a stub cantilever: set it to a specific angle, or assign its end a specific height relative to the story height.

To set the slope to a specific angle, select the Set Slope Angle option, and enter the desired angle.

To set the end of the stub cantilever to a specific height, select the Assign End Elevation Relative to Story Height option. Then, select Use Story Height to set the end to be at the story height, or select Extend or Shorten and enter an amount to set the end to be above or below the story height by a given amount.

Note: no matter which method is used, stub cantilevers internally store their slope as an angle. Subsequent modifications to the elevation of the member that the base of the cantilever is connected to will cause the end of the cantilever to raise or lower in such a way as to maintain that angle.
