For Custom Joists, Special Joists, and Joist Girders the Joist Size may be edited by entering a new label in the edit box. For these joists no design is actually performed, and joist sizes are not selected from any table. The designation is merely a label based on the joist loading. This label can be modified as desired. See the RAM Steel Beam Design manual for more information joist selection and joist labels.
