Layout - Joists - Change Materials
The Layout - Joists - Change Materials command allows you to change beams of other materials to Steel Joists.
- Go to the Materials menu and choose Joist.
- Select Layout - Joists - Change Materials.
- Click either Single or Fence.
| Setting | Description |

| Single: | Click the target cursor on the beam whose material you would like to change to a joist. The color of the beam will change to indicate the present material assignment. Default colors are set at the time of installation but can be modified using the Options - Pen Color command. |
| Fence: | Fence an area in which all Beams will be changed to Joists. The color of the beam will change to indicate the present material assignment. Default colors are set at the time of installation but can be modified using the Options - Pen Color command. |
Return to the Change Steel Joist Material Mode dialog box with the Right Mouse Button or the "D" key.
Return to the Layout - Joists menu with the "M" key.
Clicking the Cancel button or selecting any other RAM Modeler Layout command will end the Layout - Joists - Change Material command.
