Viewing Designs and Other Beam Data

The beam sizes, camber and stud callout is displayed on the current floor type using the View > Show Designs command. Nothing will be shown for beams that have not yet been designed.

The View > Show Beams with Warnings command can be used to highlight in white all beams with design warnings. See Design Error Messages .

The Reports > Connection Check command can be used to perform the Connection check and highlight in white all beams with Connection Check warnings.

Beam numbers are displayed on the current floor type using the View > Show Beam Numbers command. Beam numbers will be displayed regardless of whether the beams have been designed.

Calculated reaction forces are displayed on the current floor type using the View > Show Reactions command. If beams have not been designed, nothing will appear on the screen. Factored or Unfactored reactions may be selected.

The View > Show Web Openings command is used to display the openings in beam webs assigned by the user in the Modeler. See Opening and Stiffener Graphics .

The View > Show Brace Points command is used to display the brace points explicitly assigned by the user in the Modeler. A triangle indicates that the bottom flange is braced, an inverted triangle indicates that the top flange is braced.

The View > Show Size Restrictions command is used to display the minimum and maximum permissible depths and widths assigned by the user in the Modeler.

The View > Find Beam command can be used to find a specific beam on a layout by entering its beam number. See Find Beam .

The View > Scale Text command is used to increase or decrease the size of the on-screen text in which information is displayed. The default scale is 1.0. Input a larger number to get larger text or a smaller number to get smaller text. Tool bar buttons are also available to incrementally increase or decrease the text size.
