Layout - Smartbeam - Assign Duct Size
The Assign Duct Size command is relevant to Smartbeam and is used only by RAM Steel. This command is used to specify a duct size for which the beam openings are to be large enough to pass through.
Selecting the Layout - Smartbeams - Assign Duct Size command causes the Assign Duct Size dialog box to appear. The dialog box gives three options for shape and size of duct: Rectangular, Round and No Duct Specified. When a duct shape is selected, the dimensions must also be specified. For a Rectangular duct, H is the height (vertical dimension) of the duct and B is the width of the duct.
Click either Single or Fence.

| Single: | Click the target cursor on the beam whose duct size you would like to change. |
| Fence: | Fence an area in which the specified duct size will be assigned to all beams. |
Return to the Assign Duct Size dialog box with the Right Mouse Button or the "D" key.
Return to the Layout - Smartbeams menu with the "M" key.
Clicking the Cancel button or selecting any other RAM Modeler Layout command will end the Layout - Smartbeams - Assign Duct Size command.
