Layout - Beams - Add On-Grid
Selecting the Layout - Beams - Add On-Grid command will cause the Add Beam On- Grid Mode dialog box to appear. In this dialog box, you define the material properties of the new beam. Depending on the material chosen from the Materials menu, the contents of this dialog box will vary.

Once beam properties have been entered, click either Single or Fence.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Single: | Click the plus sign cursor on a SnapTo point defining one end of the beam. Move the cursor to the SnapTo point defining the second end of the beam and click the mouse button to place the beam. |
| Fence: | Fence an area in which beams will be place between existing columns. |
Return to the Add Beam On-Grid Mode dialog box with the Right Mouse Button or the "D" key.
Return to the Layout - Beams menu with the "M" key.
Clicking the Cancel button or selecting any other RAM Modeler Layout command will end the Layout - Beams - Add-On Grid command.
