Add a Construction Grid Through a Point at an Angle

To add a construction grid through a point:

  1. Select the Point-Angle option.
  2. Type 0.0 for the offset distance.
  3. Type an angle at which to add the construction grid.
  4. Click Add. The dialog box will disappear and the plus cursor will appear which only moves between snap-to points.
  5. Click on a point, and crossing guide lines that indicate the angle will appear.
  6. Click in the quadrant through which the construction grid should be drawn.

The construction grid will be drawn on screen when completed. Note that if the angle is either 0 or 90 degrees, it is not necessary to perform Step 6; the grid will be created immediately when the point is selected in Step 5.

To add a construction grid at an offset from a point:

  1. Select the Point-Angle option.
  2. Type an offset distance from the point at which to add the construction grid.
  3. Type an angle at which to add the construction grid.
  4. Click Add. The dialog box will disappear and the plus cursor will appear which only moves between snap-to points.
  5. Click on a point, and a set of four crossing guide lines that indicate the offset and angle will appear (note that only two parallel guide lines will appear if the angle is 0 or 90 degrees).
  6. Click in the quadrant through which the construction grid should be drawn.

The construction grid will be drawn on screen when completed.
