Bison Hollowcore and Bison Solid Plank have been added to RAMUK.DCK, the file of decks available in the UK. When this file is selected as the Deck Table in the Deck tab of the Criteria – Design Steel Tables command in the RAM Manager, these decks are available to be assigned to the floor framing in the Modeler.

To define deck properties that utilize the Bison precast units, invoke the PropTable – Decking command in the Modeler. Select the desired Bison product from the list of Decks, and specify the desired concrete and stud properties. Note that the concrete properties are those of the insitu concrete, not those of the precast concrete. Also note that the value to be input for Concrete Thickness (Total) should include the overall thickness of the plank plus topping slab, if any. The insitu concrete is always assumed to be normal weight concrete.

After these deck properties have been specified they can be assigned to the floor framing using the Layout – Slab – Deck Assign command.
