Layout - Beams - Clear Size
You can assign a beam size to any beam in the model using the Layout - Beams - Assign Size, thereby overriding the optimum design normally selected by the RAM Steel Beam Design module. Specific sizes can also be assigned within the RAM Steel Beam Design module. This size will be stored in the database and will override the optimum design until such time that you clear the size from the model by selecting the Layout - Beams - Clear Size command. Upon clearing the user size, the program will resume the normal optimization procedure.
The beams which currently have a beam size assigned to them can be highlighted by selecting Options-Show Design.
Selecting the Layout - Beams - Clear Size command will cause the Clear Size dialog box to appear.
Click either Single or Fence.

| Single: | Click the target cursor on a beam to clear the user assigned size. |
| Fence: | Fence an area in which the sizes of all beams will be cleared. |
Return to the Clear Beam Size Mode dialog box with the Right Mouse Button or the "D" key.
Return to the Layout - Beams menu with the "M" key.
Clicking the Cancel button or selecting any other RAM Modeler Layout command will end the Layout - Beams - Clear Size command.
