Add a Construction Grid Parallel to an Existing Grid
To add a construction grid parallel to an existing grid:
- Select the Parallel-to-Grid option.
- Type the offset distance between a reference grid and the construction grid. Note that a value of 0.00 for the distance is permissible; that would be used to add a construction grid exactly in line with an existing grid.
- Click Add. The dialog box will disappear and the target cursor will appear. Click a reference grid. This grid is used to define the orientation of the construction grid and the location from which the distance is to be measured. Two parallel guide lines will appear, parallel to the reference grid at the offset distance specified. Note that if the distance was specified as 0.00, only one guide line will appear, directly in line with the reference grid.
- Click on either of the parallel guide lines to identify on which side of the grid the new grid line is to be created.
The construction grid will be drawn on screen when completed.
