When using the Scan MapInfo tool, it is possible to write the scanning results in a log file. The Scan MapInfo tool can write the following information in the log file:

• Initial configuration settings

• List of folders and files that will be scanned

• List of searched folders

• Extraction results for each processed file

• Etc.

If using the Scan MapInfo tool yields unexpected results, it is strongly advised to turn ON the “Detailed Logging” toggle and to specify a valid log file name. This way, viewing the content of the log file will help diagnose the encountered problems.
