To Create Documents By Dragging In One or More Files from the File System
The easiest way to create ProjectWise documents is to drag files from the file system into ProjectWise Explorer. Assuming program and file extension associations have already been set up in the datasource, the files will be automatically associated to the appropriate applications when you drag them into ProjectWise Explorer.

Select one or more files on the file system and drag them into the
destination
work area or folder in
ProjectWise Explorer.
The next step you take depends on whether or not a default method for creating documents has been established, and also whether or not the destination work area or folder already contains a document having the same document or file name as a file you are dragging in.

Do one of the following:
If No Wizard is set as the default method of document creation, and the destination work area or folder does not already contain a document having the same document or file name as the file you are dragging in, the file is created in the destination work area or folder.

If No Wizard is set as the default method of document creation, and the destination work area or folder already contains a document having the same document or file name as the file you are dragging in, either ProjectWise will resolve the conflict for you, or you will be prompted to resolve the conflict yourself. If Advanced Wizard is set as the default method of document creation, the Advanced Document Creation Wizard opens. See Creating Documents Using the Advanced Document Creation Wizard.

If no default method of document creation is currently set, the Select a Wizard dialog opens. Select No Wizard or Advanced Wizard, click OK, then follow the instructions in the applicable option above.
