To Forward an RFI (ProjectWise Explorer)

You can forward an RFI you received to both internal and external participants. When you forward an RFI, a new RFI draft is created using the original RFI as a template, and which is linked to the original RFI. When you send your final response to the original RFI, you have the option to include the responses you received regarding the forwarded RFI.

  1. Expand the Deliverables Management node under your associated work area.
  2. Select the Incoming folder.
  3. Open the RFI and acknowledge it if needed. See To Acknowledge an RFI (ProjectWise Explorer) .

(You cannot forward an RFI until you acknowledge it.)

  4. Click the Forward button at the top of the RFI.

A new RFI draft is started, using the original RFI as a template.

The RFI Draft dialog opens. You can keep the information from the original RFI or change it as needed. Fill out the RFI the same as you would when creating a new RFI. For details, see To Create an RFI (ProjectWise Explorer) .

  5. Click the To button to select which internal or external participant you want to forward this RFI to.
  6. Make changes to the forwarded RFI as needed, the same as you would when creating a new RFI. See To Create an RFI (ProjectWise Explorer)
  7. When finished, issue the RFI. See To Issue an RFI (ProjectWise Explorer) .

After the selected recipient responds to the forwarded RFI, you can attach their response to your response, when you respond to the original RFI.
