Metadata scanners are the engines that extract spatial information from documents. They can extract spatial locations and coordinate systems. ProjectWise applications must be associated with the scanners so they know which files to scan.

• Expand the Spatial Metadata Scanners datasource node and right-click a scanner and select Properties to associate ProjectWise applications to that scanner.
• Right-click the Spatial Metadata Scanners datasource node and select Properties to apply granular security to this datasource node.
