Configuring User Synchronization Service

To run synchronizations using ProjectWise User Synchronization Service, you need to start the ProjectWise User Synchronization Service in the Services window and then configure the User Synchronization Service node in ProjectWise Administrator.

Mandatory things you need to specify in the configuration:

  • the computer on which the ProjectWise User Synchronization Service (Engine) is installed

  • the ProjectWise administrator account you want ProjectWise User Synchronization Service to use

Optional things you can specify in the configuration:

  • how and when accounts will be synchronized

  • how ProjectWise User Synchronization Service will handle ProjectWise accounts that cannot be synchronized with their respective Windows accounts

Note: When Remove accounts that are not synchronized anymore is off, accounts that would otherwise have been deleted are moved to the folder, Existing accounts suitable for removal.
