The General Programs item at the top of the Applications datasource node lets you add a default program for the View action. The View action defines the generic viewer to be used if a user selects to view a document and no other viewer is defined for the application associated to that document.

1. Select the Applications node.
2. At the top of the applications list, right-click the General Programs item and select Properties.

   The General Programs Properties dialog opens.

   
   
   
3. Click Create.

   The Create Association dialog opens. The only action available from the Action list is View.
