Distribute source files
|
If on, the system will distribute source files from
the input set to the specified destination folder when the job is run.
|
Mirror the source folder structure under the
destination folder
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked)
If selected, the source folder structure will be
mirrored (replicated) under the rendition destination folder.
When mirroring the source folder structure, you can
also set the
Mirror depth, which defines how many
levels of folders above the source document will be included in the mirrored
folder structure. A mirror depth of 1 just mirrors the source document's parent
folder in the destination folder. A mirror depth of 2 mirrors the source
document's parent folder, and also the folder above it. And so on. A mirror
depth of 0 (which is the default, and is the same as leaving it blank) mirrors
the entire source folder structure in the destination folder.
Note: If you are distributing source files along with your
renditions, and you select to mirror the source folder structure for both
renditions and distributed source files, then each rendition and its
distributed source file will be placed in the same folder in the mirrored
folder structure. Also, when mirroring the source folder structure for both
renditions and distributed source files, the mirror depth settings are tied
together - if you change the mirror depth for renditions, the mirror depth for
distributed source files is automatically changed.
|
Distribute source files to a non-mirrored
destination folder
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked)
If selected, the source files will be distributed
to the specified destination folder, which you set by defining the
Destination source folder pattern below.
|
Destination source folder pattern
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked and
Distribute source files to a non-mirrored destination
folder is selected)
Used to define where the distributed source files
will be stored in
ProjectWise. You can enter text and/or
variables in the text field. You can also use the
Add Symbol button to insert system or
ProjectWise variables or the
Browse button to select a folder in the
datasource.
|
Rename distributed source files
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked)
If selected, the distributed source files will be
renamed in the destination folder, using the specified naming patterns below.
|
Destination source document name pattern
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked and
Rename distributed source files is selected)
Used to define the naming convention that will be
used to generate a new document name for each distributed source file. You can
use a combination of text and variables. Click the
Add Symbol button to insert system or
ProjectWise variables. Leave this field blank if you want the document name of
the distributed document to be the same as the document name of the source
document.
|
Destination source file name pattern
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked and
Rename distributed source files is selected)
Used to define the naming convention that will be
used to generate a new file name for each distributed source file. The naming
convention must include/specify both the file name and extension. You can use a
combination of text and variables. Click the
Add Symbol button to insert system or
ProjectWise variables. Leave this field blank if you want the file name of the
distributed document to be the same as the file name of the source document.
|
Destination source description pattern
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked and
Rename distributed source files is selected)
Used to define the convention that will be used to
generate a new description for each distributed source file. You can use a
combination of text and variables. Click the
Add Symbol button to insert system or
ProjectWise variables. Leave this field blank if you want the description of
the distributed document to be the same as the source document.
|
Do not distribute references
|
(available when
Distribute source files is checked)
When this setting is off (default), references are
distributed when source distribution is enabled.
When this setting is on, the system will only
distribute source master documents in the job's input set. References not
included in the job input set are not distributed. Nor are they considered when
determining if the master file needs to be distributed during an incremental
job run.
However, references are still always considered
when determining if the master file is stale during an incremental run, for the
purpose of creating and distributing renditions.
|
Do not create logical sets for distributed files
|
When this setting is off (default), any logical sets
that existed in the source documents are automatically re-created in the
destination folder as part of source file distribution. Turn this setting on if
you want to disable the re-creation of logical sets for distributed source
files.
