NC Data - General tab

Used to set file and folder paths for ASCII and DXF, and XML for ZEMAN® assembler files.

SettingDescription
Main folder path Shows the output folder path where the output files are to be stored. Click the […] button to change the path.

Default value: ProStructures NC folder path.

Output Type Select the type (representing the file extension) to be used for the output file:
  • NC
  • NC1
  • DXF
  • Zeman Assembler [Technology Preview]
Or type a valid three-character extension value to set a custom output type.
Note: Any custom extension value may not be supported by viewer programs.
Description Displays description of compliance for the output file generation — the DSTV specification standard, for NCs / DXF or Zeman Assembler protocol for Zeman XML. The latest specification is taken in the workflow.
Subfolder name Shows an expression for the subfolder name where the output files are to be stored. Disabled for Zeman Assembler type.

Click the […] button to open the expression builder dialog for the subfolder name.

Default value: %File Name%

File name Shows an expression for the ASCII / DXF or XML output file name. Disabled for Zeman Assembler type.

Click the […] button to open the expression builder dialog for the file name.

Default value: %Position Number%

Clear folder contents before creating new files When checked, the existing output files with the same file extensions as selected (i.e., *.nc, *.xml, etc.) are deleted from the subfolder or main folder before generating new output files. If unchecked (default), no files are deleted.
Hide parts after processing When checked, the processed part (i.e., the part for which the output files are to be generated) are hidden after generating the output files. This is not checked by default.
Tip: Use (Regenerate) to make hidden parts visible again in the model after processing.
Open Log File When checked, opens the log file (*.log), containing summary of various actions NC Data processed when the output file being generated.
Open output folder When checked, the NC-Data file outputs to the designated folder.
