Nozzle Input (.rpn and .ren files)

Equipment nozzles are specified in the nozzle files (.rpn and .ren). Each nozzle is specified in a single line (no RETURN or LINEFEED allowed) in the following format:
<nozzle identifier>, <equipment name>, <nom.diameter>["], <type>
  • <nozzle identifier> is any name or tag for the nozzle used for identification.
  • <equipment name> is the identifier for the equipment on which the nozzle is mounted. It must be a character string.
  • <nom. diameter> is the nominal diameter of the nozzle. The double-quote (" - meaning inch) after the number is optional.
  • <type> [OPTIONAL] is the user defined nozzle type. If the nozzle type has not been defined, the entry will be empty.

Unconnected nozzles, and those connected to pipelines are saved in the .rpn file. Only nozzles that have been connected to cables are saved in the .ren file.
