Other CAD Problems

If you close a model while CAD is still open, you are prompted with communication errors resembling:
```
HRESULT = 80030003
CAN’T CREATE NEW FILE
THE PATH %1 COULD NOT BE FOUND
```
and/or
```
HRESULT = 80030003
INVALID OR CORRUPT FILE
THE PATH %1 COULD NOT BE FOUND
```
Then CAD is looking for a temporary drawing file and cannot find one.

In this case, you most likely have an error in the definition of the workstation’s TEMP directory.

Please set a TEMP Environment Variable (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment Variables for a TEMP folder needs to be set to an existing folder. Generally, this is defined as;

%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp

or

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Temp
If CAD has become totally un-responsive, you can kill the application via the Windows Task Manager (see Appendix F - Terminating a Process).
