Import EC Data from FSR

The other option for importing/export EC Data is through a File System Repository (FSR). A File System Repository is a collection of XML files that describe a hierarchy of objects (classes) and properties of those objects.

When Model > Import > EC Data > From FSR is chosen, a folder selection dialog appears. The folder selected must be named "FSR" or must contain an immediate sub-folder named "FSR". The FSR folder will contain the schema files that were used to create the FSR, as well as a folder named for the schema used, OpenPlant.01.08 for example.

The schema named folder, OpenPlant.01.08, contains all of the data that was exported by an ECFrameWork enabled application. These XML files contain the data that describes the system configuration at the time the files were exported.

Once a valid folder is selected, the import process will start, and the

"EC Data Import is finished!"

message dialog will display when all of the data has been processed.
