CAD Seed Files
A project may contain any number of seed drawing files for CAD. These files are used to set CAD attributes such as units, level names, colors, reference files, and rendering settings. It is important that the main units specified in the project setup dialog matches the sub-units settings in the seed drawings. If they do not match, the CAD graphics will not be correctly drawn.
Typically, these drawings do not contain any graphic elements as PlantWise generates all model graphics.
Seed files are saved in the project’s msce\ subfolder and can be used for any model in the project.
Seed drawings are assigned when creating a new model. Components in PlantWise are drawn to level names rather than numbers. The level names shown in table below. CAD Level Numbers and Names are provided in the seed files installed with the software. The drawing seed files should contain levels with at least the names shown in the table. You can define the level properties – number, color, line style, line width, etc. – as desired for any or all of these level names.
