The PlantWise Mass Properties dialog presents weight, center of gravity (CG), and moment of inertia values for a single component or a group of components. When opened for a single equipment component, the dialog allows you to specify or edit mass property values as well as fluid commodity, density, volume, and fill level for that equipment. For a group of components, all quantities are read-only. The dialog also controls graphic elements that displays the calculated empty and/or operating center of gravity of the item(s) listed in the dialog. The size of the graphics are controlled by the Project Setup variable CG Sphere Radius (Ref: Mass Properties setup variables). Operating CG is shown in while the empty CG graphic is . Displays the Center of gravity graphics for every open Mass Properties dialog.

When opened in this manner, only the mass properties of the current item are listed in the dialog.

The dialog can also be opened to contain all the model elements from the PlantWise > Reports menu entry.

Finally, you can select items in CAD with click, <Shift+Click>, or fence and then click on the (Mass Properties) tool icon on the Plant toolbox. If there is no selection in CAD when the Mass Properties tool icon is clicked, the Mass Properties dialog opens with all of the model’s components.
