To Publish Aggregation Data

After you have matched the acquisition data with the digital twin data using the exact tag match and/or fuzzy match methods, you can publish it to the digital twin.

Follow the steps below to aggregate one or more data acquisitions into an digital twin.

  1. From the Data Aggregation grid, select the rows that you want to publish.
Note: Objects with a State of "Published" have already been mapped to an object in a digital twin. Objects with a State of "New" have not yet been mapped to an object in a digital twin.
  2. Select an entry in the Project Tag column. You can also change existing tags for already merged items.
  3. Click Accept. The Accept Tags dialog appears. For example,
  4. To accept tags without checking for conflicts:
    1. Enable Accept, and disable check for conflicts.
      For example,
    2. Click Accept.
    3. When the process has completed, go to Step 8.
  5. To accept tags and check for any conflicting properties or relationships by comparing the acquired data with the digital twin:
    1. Select Accept, and then enable Check for conflicts.
    2. Click Next, and then do one of the following: Accept non-conflicting to match up only the acquired data that is not in conflict, or Accept All to overwrite existing property values with acquired values.
    3. Go to Step 8.
Note: If you want to select individual properties or relationships, you can open the Properties grid for any merged item, which displays a list of acquired properties compared to the digital twin properties. You can choose to overwrite the digital twin property or keep the existing value.
  6. If you do not want the property content such as the engineering data to be pushed into the digital twin, then do the following:
    1. Enable Accept without modifying project data (link)
    2. Click Accept.
  7. If you want to exit and save the changes in order to publish at a later time, click Save & Exit.

Acquisitions for which not all of the dataset has been aggregated into the digital twin appear with an Aggregation Status of "In Process".

Tip: Refresh to view changes in the digital twin.
  8. Click Publish.

A progress bar updates the status of your changes. A confirmation dialog appears with the number of accepted and rejected tags appears.

When completed, the changes are merged into the digital twin for all users, and the import overview Aggregation Status changes to "Completed".

  9. Click Accept. The Publish dialog appears. For example,
  10. Enter a Description, and then click Publish.
The digital twin is updated, and the change set is created and appears in the Changes list.
Note: If publishing fails, an error message appears. Each failed item includes detailed information about the possible cause.
