To Place a Grounding Grid
A Grounding Grid
(GG) is a net of copper wires that connect objects to the ground (i.e., light
poles, handrails, fences, etc.).
- Select the Place Grounding Grid icon from the 3D Design Ribbon to display the Place Grounding Grid dialog.
- Select the Wire type, Welding (X), and Welding (T) from the respective drop-down pick-lists.
- In the Grid group-box, select the Method, then enter a value for the Depth, and specify the X and Y coordinates.
- Press Place grid and follow the status bar prompts to place the Grounding Grid.
- (Optional, after placing the grid) Press Place wire and follow the status bar prompts to place the wires.
- (Optional, after placing the grid) Press Place conn. and follow the status bar prompts to place the connection wire from the grounding grid to a structure.
