Publishing an iModel from an OTXML file

Follow these steps to create an iModel from an OTXML file. The OTXML file can be created from Open Tower Designer.
  1. From the Navigation pane, select Documents, .
  2. From the Files tab, open the OpenTower iModel folder, and then copy the OTXML file inside the As Design Model folder.
  3. From the Navigation pane, select Digital Twin, and then select iModel Connector. The iModel Connector page opens.
  4. Do one of the following:

    If no connections exist for the current iModel, click Create connection.

    or

    If at least one connection exists, click New.

    The Create Connection wizard opens to the Choose datasource step.
  5. Select the data source where your design files are stored, and then click Next. The wizard advances to the Select composite models step.
  6. Select composite models you want to map to an iModel, and then click Next. The wizard advances to the Define geocoordinate system step.
  7. Select a file which contains information about the geographic coordinate system from the selected composite models, and then click Next. The wizard advances to the Define iModel connectors step.
    Note: If you skip this step, the first file found with geolocation data will be used. If no file exists, a geocoordinate system will not be defined for the iModel.
  8. Specify the connector type to Process selected files with, and then click Next. The wizard advances to the Configure connection step.
  9. Enter a Connection name, schedule automatic synchronization by selecting one of the options under Schedule, and then click Create. The connection is created.
  10. On the iModel Connector page, select the Connections tab, then select the connection that you want to synchronize, and then click Synchronize. A status message appears, displaying the progress of the synchronization job.
When the synchronization is complete, the iModel is published and is ready to be viewed in the Viewer.
