Civil Geometry tools can import geometry elements that are stored in the cogo databases if they are MX (FIL), InRoads (ALG or FIL), or GEOPAK (GPK ) elements.

Workflow

  1. Click Import Geometry. The Import Geometry dialog displays. All three file types are available.

  2. Select the geometry database. When selected, the geometry database is queried and a checklist displays.

  3. Check the elements to be imported and click the Import button.

    • Previously imported elements will show as checked if the import command is run again.

    • Check the Create Rules box to apply rules to the elements as they are imported and are thus editable with manipulators. When the box is cleared, the elements are imported as plain graphics.

Note: Some imported geometry cannot be ruled. See Import Horizontal Geometry and Import Vertical Geometry.
